Meet Tongariro – your gorgeous, go-to, ride-or-die earring. Daring yet understated (at least by Mazdevallia standards!). Named after the Tongariro Alpine Crossing considered one the of the most visually stunning 1-day hikes in the world, this abstract earring design riffs off the sight of a dusky sunset reflected on mineral-rich thermal lakes resting atop Mt Ruhepehu. Unlike the Tongariro Alpine Crossing (which whilst captivatingly beautiful is a bloody hard slog!) Tongariro statement earrings will take you effortlessly from the office to date night to early-morning basketball practice with class. With a dreamy colour palette of rose gold, sugary tangerine glitter, coral pink and lemon, these versatile earrings are super chic and oh-so-pretty. They’re also considered the ‘gateway earring’ to bigger, brighter styles. Tongariro is the perfect way to kickstart your Mazdevallia addiction. But be warned: it’s a slippery slope from here to shoulder-grazers (i.e. watch out for Lady Knox!)

Rose gold metallic leather shapes have a soft suede back. Handpainted leather shapes have a marshmallow pink painted back.
These earrings are ultra-lightweight, use sterling silver ear wires and are comfortable to wear. They can easily be worn all day (and all night!)
All earrings are designed, painted and completely handmade right here by me in my Adelaide studios. No two pairs are ever exactly the same.
As these earrings are made by hand, there may be some very slight variations in the colours and shapes to the pair pictured and that's what makes them truly special. These ain't no mass produced factory made products!
